The Women in Vision Research Committee at CTVR is delighted to announce a $1,500 scholarship opportunity. This scholarship aims to support the hotel and travel expenses for female-identifying scientists who wish to attend and present at the ARVO Research Conference. As one of the pioneering women's committees at the School of Medicine, the Women in Vision Research Committee plays a crucial role in addressing social and cultural challenges from the perspective of women researchers. Committed to fostering change and empowering women from diverse backgrounds, the committee strives to help them realize their full potential in careers as researchers, clinicians, and leaders. This initiative reflects the committee's dedication to advancing gender equity and supporting women in their professional journeys.

2024 ARVO Travel Scholarship Opportunity

This 2024 scholarship aims to support the hotel and travel expenses of four female-identifying scientists who wish to attend and present at the ARVO 2024 Research Conference in Seattle, WA. The committee will be awarding two scholarships to basic scientists and two to clinical scientists. Applicants shall submit their abstract proposals and short personal statements by February 15 to the Committee and the Committee will select four most compelling and rigorous presentations.
