Cores for Vision Research Administration Ocular Microanatomy Core (OM Core) Visual Function and Non-invasive Ocular Imaging Core (VFNOI Core) Ocular Mass Spectrometry, Lipidomics, and Proteomics Core (OMSLP Core) Ophthalmic Testing Core (OTC) Ophthalmic Testing Core (OTC) Home Research Cores For Vision Research Ophthalmic Testing Core (OTC) About the Ophthalmic Testing Core Ophthalmic Testing Core OTC was established in August 2019 as a facility to provide core resource for vision scientists and medical scientists seeking to use the eye as a window to study systemic diseases with ophthalmic manifestations. Part of the growing organized research unit in the Center for Translational Vision Research, the OTC is a multidisciplinary nexus for biophotonicists, engineers, clinicians, and scientists. OTC is an open access facility housing multiple imaging and subjective functional techniques for evaluating tissue structure and function in animal models and human subject research. Ranging from Optical Coherence Tomography to 2-photon excited fluorescence, the facility uses multimodal imaging tools to gain new understanding of visual function and systemic diseases. The OTC is available to all university researchers and collaborators in industry and non-profit organizations. The OTC aims to place UCI as the leading translational core for discoveries made in biotechnology, biology and patient care by availing state-of-the-art tools for our research community.
