Knights Templar Eye Foundation, Inc. Awards
CTVR Postdoctoral Student Rafal Holubowicz, PhD, Project Scientists Aleksander Twordak, PhD, and Dominik Lewandowski, PhD are the Knights Templar Eye Foundation, Inc. awards recipients! The Foundation has grown to $162 million while expending $168 million on research, education, and patient care. The Foundation is continuing to invest into more research and the improvement of the quality of eye care not only here in the United States but around the world.

Krzysztof Palczewski to Receive 2023 Anatrace Membrane Protein Award
The Biophysical Society is pleased to announce that Krzysztof (Kris) Palczewski, PhD, of the University of California, Irvine ‐ Center for Translational Vision Research, has been named the recipient of the Society’s 2023 Anatrace Membrane Protein Award. Palczewski will be honored at the Society’s 67th Annual Meeting in San Diego, California, February 18‐22, 2023.

Krzysztof Palczewski, PhD, wins 2022 Ludwig von Sallmann prize
Krzysztof Palczewski, PhD, Donald Bren Professor, UCI School of Medicine and Irving H. Leopold Chair of Ophthalmology at the Gavin Herbert Eye Institute, has been named the recipient of the 2022 Ludwig von Sallman Prize. This prestigious award is given every two years to an individual who has distinguished themselves by making a significant contribution to vision research and ophthalmology. The prize will be formally conferred at the XXV Biennial Meeting of the International Society for Eye Research in February, 2023.
